The articles above are some of my personal favorite Engoo lesson plans. Engoo is a private online English tutoring platform with 100000+ learners. Learn or practice English every day, at your own pace. The platform also has a wealth of articles for us to prompt conversation.

One of the best parts of Engoo is you can choose material for any level from beginner to proficient.

My favorite Engoo articles are usually the news articles. They are often at an intermediate level.

Engoo articles are helpful because they list some vocabulary that helps you preread the articles.

Pre-reading can help you anticipate what might come up in the reading. Here is an example of an ESL lesson that includes Pre-reading.

Pre-reading can also help you feel confident and less afraid of a new text. It can prepare you for the language, vocabulary, or grammar that you will find in the text.

If you are studying for the IELTS, I like Engoo prep sheets but also IELTS Liz.

Liz’s website is crammed with great tips for getting a high score, and she also has model answers, practice lessons, and videos to help you with the exam.

Engoo also has fun content for children, all free!
