What ESL companies are hiring now?

Best online ESL Jobs

There are lots of ESL companies that are hiring now for online English teachers. Some hire constantly, like Cambly, and others have hiring pushes as needed.

There are lots and lots of different kinds of companies that are hiring now located all over the world. Some want you to teach kids and some cater to adults. Some require degrees and others don’t. Some want native speakers and others appreciate second language learners (non-natives).

Some book you right away. Others act as platforms that host profiles allowing you to build your own student base.

The best way to see all the companies that will hire you is to sort through the comprehensive chart.

Referral Skews Recruitment

Many online ESL companies offer current teachers bonuses and incentives in addition to their pay, including bonuses for referring another teacher to the company. In effect, teachers are recruiting for the company for pay. This isn’t always a bad thing. Teachers spend lots of effort getting your hired, and they deserve to be compensated for their time. It’s helpful for the applicant to get an insider helping them through the application process.

Find Hidden Gems

However, some ESL companies are hidden gems. By this, I mean that they don’t offer referral fees so their teachers have little to no incentive to recruit for them. Therefore, there won’t be lots of websites or Youtube video testimonials about these companies. That doesn’t mean they aren’t hiring!

Who’s Hiring now? Ask Current Teachers

You can join Online ESL Teacher groups where teachers review (and brag and gripe) about their companies. These groups will give you honest reviews of the different platforms and the pros and cons of each.
