These posts are about Project-Based Learning (PBL) in the ESL classroom.

What is PBL?

PBL is an innovative and student-centered approach to education that places emphasis on active and experiential learning. In PBL, students engage in authentic, real-world projects that require critical thinking, problem-solving, collaboration, and creativity. Instead of traditional lectures and rote memorization, PBL encourages students to delve deeply into a topic or issue, explore various perspectives, and apply their knowledge and skills to address complex challenges. Throughout the process, students take ownership of their learning, making decisions, setting goals, and managing their time effectively. Project-Based Learning not only equips students with subject-specific knowledge but also nurtures essential skills for the 21st century, preparing them to become lifelong learners and capable contributors to society.
