If you’re British and you are looking for online English companies that hire British Teachers, you’re in luck! Many people view the BBC and British English as standard English.

Due to this, there are many opportunities for British English speakers to teach English online. Many companies prefer teachers with a good command of British English. If you have a charming English accent and want to work for a British company, many companies will want to hire you.

If you want to teach English online for a British-friendly company, many companies will hire Americans, Brits, New Zealanders (Kiwis 🙂 ) Australians.

Tutor Supply has a high pay rate of $22 – 32 per hour and wants teachers for their kids’ classes. The company does not require a degree. Be prepared to teach PPT (Peak Peak Time) Beijing Prime Time, 6-9 PM (Beijing Standard Time). They hire both native and non-native English speakers, but you must pass a UK background check and have the right to work in the UK.

PhoneBoxLanguage lets you talk by telephone or Skype and teach one-to-one classes for adults and kids. The pay is $9-$12 per hour, so this should be a last resort. This may be a good side-job option while building your Preply or Verbling business.
